1I’m rereading this now. Stunning story. I’d like to see the 1934 version.

2Yes - it is an amazing story of grace vs the law - the 1998 version does an excellent job of portraying that theme. I saw the 1934 story a long time ago - I think we got it on VHS at the Nashville library - either that or from Logos Bookstore when we used to rent movies there all the time!
